JEnnifer Wisniewski

Born in Chicago, standing six feet tall, Jennifer Wisniewski has always been one to walk her own path. As an entrepreneur at a young age, she turned her stature into an opportunity, beginning a successful modeling career that would lead her down runways for industry icons like Isaac Mizrahi, Donna Karan and Oscar de La Renta. When home from traveling, she worked in hospitality, eventually assisting some of Chicago's most hospitable in their personal restaurant and bar endeavors.

After giving birth to a blue eyed girl named Stella, Jennifer settled back on Chicago’s Northwest side. As an avid lover of dining out, she quickly recognized a need in her own neighborhood and wanted to take action. She opened Bread & Wine to critical acclaim, receiving two stars from the Chicago Tribune in its first year. The vibrant new restaurant sparked a dining revival on the Northwest side, ingraining in her the lessons of hospitality only an owner can learn. The restaurant proudly served the city for six wild years until its bittersweet closing led Jennifer along another path.

Using her unique know-how in fashion and hospitality, she walked into the role of executive, crafting a position as Director of Operations within SIX4 Creative, a solutions agency in her home city. In her first year at the agency, Jennifer become an equal partner, tasked with leading the operations and expansion of the company.

Leaning on her own experience, she later co-founded a foundation with her business partner called A Leg Up, with a mission to “provide short-term relief for mothers with long-term goals.” She spends free time with Stella and does her best to keep up her website, Tall Orders -- a web diary where she records and reflects on the challenges of being a single mom running a company with her gay best friend. She lives for movies, mediation and a perfectly staged nicoise salad and has never underestimated the power of a good shoe.

Welcome to Tall Orders.
